SECTOR 2A AT SNOHOMISH CASCADE ASSOCIATION
7:00 PM TUESDAY April 6, 2010
CALL TO ORDER / APPROVAL OF MINUTES
- Bill Steenis called the meeting to order at 7:10pm. Present were Bill Steenis, Steve Yandl, Trina Coleman, Duane Oord, and Cheryl Carlson.
- Steve Yandl presented the Minutes from the March meeting. It was moved and seconded to accept the minutes as read.
- In our operation reserve we have $23,932 In the long-term fun there is $69,489 when all the dues are in we will add $10,000 to this account. Right now the checking account is at $60,888.
- There are 13 unpaid homes currently. One of the 13 is a bounced check. These people have been sent second invoices with late fees attached.
- We should not need to do any special assessments in the immediate future.
- The audit will begin once the individual tax season is completed. Hopefully will be completed in Mid May.
- The repaired fence sections still need painting. Brian does have paint stored in his garage.
- CC&R Violations
- There have been no violations during the past month.
- Project Requests
- There was a preliminary request by a homeowner in regards to having a single honey bee hive. The board had an informal poll and we thought it would be okay. The justification being that the bees are already natural to the habitat and they do not make any noise.
- We also had a preliminary request in regards to erecting an above ground pool. There is the concern that when this has to be cleaned where the water drain, and if it is not done properly it could affect the drainage tables of the nearby lots.
- Yard of Merit
- Judging for the Yard of Merit will begin in May. We have enough judges to have three a month. The system is easy, judges will select A & B houses.
- Rentals
- Warner – Sherman Knight has called Jason Warner’s attorney twice and has not received any return call. Sherman thinks that after the attorney has received the documentation they requested he knows sees that there case is fairly weak and is advising Jason not to persue.
- Guimont – The Guimont’s have also requested similar information as the Warner’s this packet is being compiled. There has not been any cooperation with the Guimont’s attorney in regards to scheduling a deposition with Melissa Withey. We will ask Sherman to go ahead and schedule the deposition without Grafstra.
- Sharma – This is still a waiting game. The letter we attempted to send the bank in regards to the situation was returned to us a no longer deliverable. Steve will send a reminder to them letting them know that the lien is still accumulating.
