MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS’ MEETING

SECTOR 2A AT SNOHOMISH CASCADE ASSOCIATION

7 P.M.   TUESDAY   AUGUST 4, 2015

 

 

CALL TO ORDER / PRESENTATION OF MINUTES

  1. Suzan Miller called the meeting to order at 7:07pm.  Present were Suzan Miller, Steve Yandl, Nicole Klages, and Ralph Kouri.

  2. Minutes of the July 2015 meeting were presented and unanimously approved.

TREASURER’S REPORT

  1. Steve Yandl reported on current financial status and forecast through the end of 2015.

    1. Currently $108,819 in checking.  There was a transfer of $20k from the long term reserve executed when the CD renewed in July.  The sum of $14,460 that was owed the fund from 2014 assessments and $20,500 owed from 2015 assessments (per long term reserve) comes to approximately $55k to be used for fence replacement and other capital replacements per the reserve analysis. 

    2. There is $50,766 in the long term reserve after the $20k transfer.

    3. We have $5,696 in operational reserve. 

  2. Update on liens provided by Steve Yandl. 

  3. We will schedule to get our audit of 2014 financial records as soon as the auditor is available.

MAINTENANCE COMMITTEE REPORT

  1. We’ve requested an update of our quote from Town and Country Fence for replacing the fence identified as phase 1 of our fence replacement project.

  2. We replaced the failed photo sensor on the LED lights at the boat park.

  3. Most sprinkler repairs so far are the result of vandalism.

ARCHITECTURAL CONTROL COMMITTEE REPORT

  1. Discussed the letter from bankruptcy court regarding Aziz Mohammad property and the trustee wishing to sell the property free and clear of liens.  Steve Yandl will be writing a letter to contest this.

  2. A number of projects requested in the previous month were approved.

    1. Carlson, Darren and Cheryl - Roof

    2. Newton - Roof

    3. Seelhof – Paint colors for house.

    4. Kaas – Tree removal.

    5. Pierce – Tree removal.

  3. The Blumes completed their “Little Free Library” and it looks good.  We discussed ways to make certain others wishing to do the same got approval and produced a decent (neighborhood appropriate) appearing product.

NEW BUSINESS

  1. Steve Yandl will be redoing the HOA web page since Comcast is no longer offering free web space for personal pages.  Unanimous approval to use Weebly at a cost of $10 - $15 per month and purchase a new domain name.
